I am a Chicago based photographer. I've been interested in photography and cameras from around age six when I saved up
400 Bazooka gum wrappers to purchase my first camera. That was the beginning of countless cameras, accessories and an extensive photo book library. I received my BA in Photography at Columbia College Chicago. I've never made my living from photography but it's been with me throughout all of life's ups and downs. Since college I've worked as a bartender/owner/manager which has allowed me the time and finances to explore and indulge myself in the art of photography and it's very rich history. There are so many wonderful photographers that I love and who have influenced me along the way such as Dorothea Lange, Lee Miller, Cartier Bresson, Atget, Berenice Abbott and so many others. A perfect day for me would be spending the entire day reading a photo book or outside walking around with my dog and my camera creating images.
